Al Ahly have announced the signing of Algeria midfielder Ahmed Kendouci from ES Setif.
The 23-year-old joins the Egyptian heavyweights on a four-and-a-half year deal to becomes their fourth signing of the season after Khaled Abdel-Fattah, Marwan Ateya, and Mohamed Dhaoui.
Kendouci was an instrumental figure for ES Setif last season as he scored seven goals and provided six assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, with the Algerian outfit reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League where they were beaten by Al Ahly 6-2 on aggregate, Kendouci netting in the 2-2 second leg draw.
Al Ahly will now be preparing to take on New Zealand side Auckland City in the first round of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup in the Moroccan city of Tangier on Tuesday.

Kendouci is currently on international duty with the Algeria national team at the 2022 African Nations Championship where his country have reached the semi-finals after beating Ivory Coast with 10 men in the quarter-finals on Friday.
He had to be sacrificed after 22 minutes following goalkeeper Alexis Guendouz’s sending off for a reckless tackle on Ivorian Aziz Abdoul outside the box.
Kendouci has played a total of 197 minutes at CHAN 2022 and will be expected to do his part again when Algeria take on Niger in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
