Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana has been included in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week after his heroic exploits in Manchester United’s narrow 1-0 win against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old goalie saved a stoppage time penalty from Jordan Larsson for the Red Devils to help them win their first game in Group A and move into third position in the standings.
Onana earned 12 points according to UEFA’s metrics, as he outperformed all other goalkeepers to make the number spot his own after matchday three.

However, he isn’t the only United player on the list, as he is joined by English defender Harry Maguire, whose 72nd-minute header earned Erik Ten Hag’s men all three points.
Maguire is joined at the back by the German duo of David Raum and Nico Schlotterbeck in a back three. Raum scored one and assisted another in RB Leipzig’s 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade, while Schlotterbeck kept a clean sheet and provided the assist for Borussia Dortmund’s only goal in their 1-0 win at Newcastle United.
In the midfield, Leipzig’s Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons got the nudge, having also scored a goal and provided another in his side’s win. He is joined by Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, who got the winning goal for Inter Milan in their 2-1 win over RB Salzburg; Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez, who starred in the Catalonia giants 2-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk with a goal; and finally French teenager Warren Zaire-Emery, who assisted two goals in PSG’s 3-0 win against AC Milan on Wednesday.
The frontline consists of Feyenoord forward Santiago Gimenez, whose brace helped them to a 3-1 victory against Lazio; Brazilian striker Evanilson, whose heroics as a substitute saw him score a hat-trick as FC Porto came from behind to beat Royal Antwerp; and another Brazilian, Gabriel Jesus, whose goal and assist helped Arsenal to a 2-1 away win over Sevilla at the famous Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
