The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League was conducted on Friday at the Complex Mohamed VI in Salé, Morocco, Afrosport reports.
The eight teams participating in this year’s edition of the continental inter-club competition have been drawn into two groups of four, with Fatiha Laasiri, former Morocco and ASFAR player and current U23 Morocco Women’s National Team Assistant Coach, serving as the draw assistant.
Nigeria’s representative, Edo Queens, were drawn in Group B, where they will come up against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, as well as CBE FC (Ethiopia), and FC Masar (Egypt).
The Benin City-based club, who will be making their maiden appearance in the competition, will battle Ethiopia’s CBE in their opening fixture on Saturday, November 10, 2024.
Meanwhile, Group A consists of 2022 champions and hosts AS FAR, TP Mazembe of DR Congo, who are making a return to this stage after missing the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire, as well as debutants Aigles De La Medina (Senegal) and South Africa’s University of Western Cape.

Morocco will host the competition from November 9-23, 2024 with the winners set to receive $400,000 and runners-up walking away with USD 250 000.
The North African nation’s hosting of the CAF Women’s Champions League follows its successful hosting of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
