The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the final match schedule for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, Afrosport reports
The African football body has pitted DR Congo side TP Mazembe against South Africa’s University of Western Cape, with the Group A clash set for opening day on Saturday, November 9, at the Ben M’Hamed El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.
AS FAR of Morocco will then take on Senegal’s Aigles Dela Medina later in the day at the same venue.
Meanwhile, Nigerian champions Edo Queens are up against Ethiopia’s CBE FC in a Group B matchup the following day on November 10 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
However, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will begin their title defence against Egypt’s FC Masar in the other Group B fixture.
This edition of the competition will run from November 9–23, with all16 matches to be played between El Jadida and Casablanca, while the former will host the final.
The fourth edition of the competition will see record prize money with the winners set to receive USD400,000 and runners-up walking away with USD 250 000.
