Tanzania giants Simba SC made the biggest headline in round five of CAF Champions League group stage with a 7-0 win over Horoya of Guinea in Group C on Saturday.
Clatous Chama netted a hat-trick while Jean Baleke and Sadio Kanoute got a brace apiece. The result guarantees a place in the quarter-finals for Simba alongside Raja Casablanca who drew 1-1 with Vipers of Uganda in the other Group C fixture.
Earlier on Friday, 10-time Champions League winners Al Ahly recorded the biggest result on the road with a 4-0 win at Coton Sport of Cameroon in Group B. It was a game the Egyptian outfit dominated from start to finish in Garoua, with Mahmoud Kahraba banging in a hattrick and former Brighton & Hove Albion forward Percy Tau netting the fourth and final goal.
Al Ahly however sit in third in Group B, three points behind Al Hilal Omdurman of Sudan who drew 1-1 with table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
Other Friday fixtures saw Belouizdad of Algeria claim a 2-0 win over another Egyptian team in Zamalek in Group D which was enough to see them through to the last eight while Al Merrikh of Sudan played out a 1-1 draw with table toppers Esperance of Tunisia.
In Group A, North African outfits JS Kabylie and Wydad Casablanca secured their passage into the quarter-finals with a 1-0 win and goalless draw against Petro Atletico de Luanda and AS Vita respectively.
