CAFCL: Remo Stars boss Ogunmodede expects hostility from AS FAR in return leg

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, says he expects AS FAR to be hostile when the Sky Blue Stars visit them in Morocco in the deciding leg of their CAF Champions League first preliminary round clash, Afrosport reports.

Remo Stars won 2-1 on Sunday in Ikenne in the first leg, courtesy goals from defenders Nduka Junior and Ismail Sodiq.

During his post-match interview, the tactician hailed his boys for a spirited performance and assured that they will be prepared for whatever form of hostility they face in Morocco.

He said: “We expect a lot of hostility that they are used to, both on and off the pitch, their antics, we are ready for that, we will be so prepared for it as much as we can.

“Secondly, what you should expect from us in the second leg is improving on our attack and finishing, because we are not going there to sit back, we will always deal with every moment of the game as they come. At the time we need to defend, we defend, at the time we need to attack, we attack, when we need to keep the ball, we keep the ball.”

Assessing the first leg in Ikenne, Coach Ogunmodede said the most important thing was to win, so as to build momentum heading into the second leg.

AS FAR will host the second leg in Morocco on Sunday.
