The CAF Confederation Cup fixture between reigning Nigerian Premier League champions Rivers United and Congolese side DC Motema Pembe has been postponed, as announced by the Confederation of African Football on Wednesday.
The reverse fixture, which is supposed to be the second leg of the double-header between The Pride of Rivers and Les Immacules, was scheduled to be played today at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo by 5 pm WAT.
However, according to a communique sent out by CAF, the Congolese side failed to arrive in Nigeria for the match.
The statement read: “Due to circumstances beyond our control – please note that the match, Rivers United vs DC Motema Pembe, will no longer be played today as DC Motema Pembe has not arrived in Nigeria.”
