Enyimba werw beaten 3-0 on Sunday by Black Bulls of Mozambique in a Group B clash in the CAF Confederation Cup, Afrosport reports.
After failing to win in their first two games, the Peoples Elephants were hoping to get their continental season back on track in Maputo, but it ended in defeat.
Nigerian Rume Akporoh got the home side underway in the 16th minute, while Fidel Souza increased the tally in the 57th minute.
Another Nigerian, Francis Ayuba wrapped up the victory in the 67th minute to take Black Bulls to second in Group D on four points, three behind holders and leaders Zamalek who beat Al Masry 1-0 in the other Group game.
Enyimba are bottom, having gone three games without a win. Up next for them is the return leg against the Mozambicans at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on January 5, 2025.

In other games, South African team Stellenbosch beat Lunda Sul of Angola 1-0, Simba SC of Tanzania were 2-1 winners against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, while Orapa United drew 0-0 with ASC Jaraaf of Senegal, and Bravos do Maquis of Angola edged CS Constantine 3-2
