Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller believes their CAF Champions League semi-final game against Esperance is far from over despite having a three-goal lead from the first-leg.
The record winners of the Champions League bagged a comfortable 3-0 lead away from home at Esperance last weekend, courtesy of Percy Tau’s brace and Kahraba’s lone goal.
Al Ahly welcome Esperance to the Cairo International Stadium on Friday and Koller has warned his players against complacency as they look to advance into the fifth Champions League final in the last six seasons.
“We are so happy to win 3-0 away from home. However, that doesn’t mean we have already qualified to the final,” Koller said.
“Nothing is decided yet. We saw when Liverpool made a comeback against Barcelona by scoring four goals. Also, Juventus managed to net three times away from home against Real Madrid.
“We should not imagine that things have been decided. We should not underestimate Esperance de Tunis in the second leg and be fully concentrated because everything is possible in football.”
Friday’s Champions League game between Al Ahly and Esperance will be shown LIVE on Afrosport TV by 8 pm (WAT).
