Earlier on Saturday, newly-promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL ) side and President Federation Cup champions El-Kanemi Warriors played out a 1-1 draw with Benin’s Dadje in the opening qualification round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Bless Salassi put Dadje in front in the 29th minute and looked like they were going to snatch an away win in Ikenne but Gimba Ajiji levelled for El Kanemi in added time.
The return leg of all the fixtures take place next weekend, with Rangers enjoying home advantage to extend their lead while Remo Stars and El-Kanemi travel to Morocco and neighbouring Benin respectively.
