The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the draw for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will be conducted on Friday, November 22, Afrosport reports.
The African football body also revealed that the draws will be carried out at Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.
The WAFCON 2024 draw will start at 8 p.m. local time in Morocco (same as Nigerian time) and will be broadcast live on CAF’s digital streaming platform, CAF TV.
The draw will determine the opponent of each of the 12 participating teams.
The WAFCON 2024, which is the 13th edition of the tournament, will take place from July 5 to 26, 2025, in Morocco.
South Africa are the current champions of the competition, having defeated hosts Morocco 2-1 in the final in 2022.
Meanwhile, CAF revealed that details on the draw procedure will be announced in due time.
