CAF announces dates for 2025 African Nations Championships

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the date for the final draw for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Egypt next month.

The African football governing body revealed that the draw will take place on Thursday, September 19, in Cairo and will be live-streamed on all CAF Digital Platforms.

The sixth edition of the CAF Beach Soccer AFCON is slated to begin on October 19 and end October 26, 2024, in Hurghada, Egypt.

The participating teams include Egypt, who are hosting the competition for the second time, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, Tanzania, Mauritania, Mozambique and Malawi.

The eights teams will be drawn into two groups of four, with the target on the back of reigning champions Senegal, who will be gunning for their fifth title.

The Beach Soccer AFCON serves as a qualifying competition for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup set to be hosted by Seychelles next year.
