Indiana Pacers star Buddy Hield has set an NBA record for the fastest 3-pointer in a game after scoring just three seconds into Thursday’s night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The sharp shot at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse made Hield break Pacers legend Reggie Miller’s record of a 3-pointer within four seconds of an NBA game in March 2000.
Hield has cemented his spot as one f the deadliest shooters from long range in the NBA in recent seasons, having scored 41 per cent of his points beyond the arc this term.
The Bahamas star did not stop in the opening seconds of the first quarter as he inspired the Pacers to a 135-126 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers with his 25 points, scoring five of his six attempts from long range.
He also leads the 3-pointers in the NBA this campaign with a record of 132 points in total.
