Nine-time Nigerian champions, Enyimba have unveiled former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye who has teamed up with the People’s Elephants on a short-term deal, Afrosport reports.
The former West Brom striker returns to the league after leaving the defunct Ocean Boys in the 2006-2007 season.
He is expected to play an integral part under new manager Stanley Eguma who recently replaced coach Yemi Olanrewaju.
“We are delighted to officially announce the addition of former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye to our fold,” the club shared on its official X handle.
“We are confident in the experience and professionalism he will bring to our remaining matches this season, especially under the guidance of our new coach.”

Ideye was part of the Super Eagles team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa under the guidance of late coach Stephen Keshi, and scored in the team’s 4-1 win against Mali in the Semi-final.
The 36-year-old played 28 games for Nigeria at the senior level, scoring six goals, and also featured at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, as well as the 2013 FIFA Confederation Cup in Brazil.
Ideye who also played for Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine, Olympiacos in Greece, and Chinese side, Tianjin Teda, joins Ex_Super Eagles duo Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi in returning to the Nigerian topflight this season.
Musa and Shehu Abdullahi currently defend the colours of four-time NPFL winners, Kano Pillars.
