Brentford manager Keith Andrews has confirmed that want-away striker Yoane Wissa could be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash at home with Aston Villa, Afrosport reports.
The DR Congo international has expressed his desire to leave the Gtech Community Stadium, but the Bees have been reluctant to sell, rejecting two bids from Newcastle United.
This has left Wissa isolated from the first team, initially training away from his teammates before he resumed with them in recent weeks.
He was left out of Brentford’s opening league game at Nottingham Forest, which they lost 3-1, but new boss Andrews has revealed he might be involved in their first home match of the season.
“He’s been training with the team,” he said. “I’ll make a decision tomorrow.
“He’s a Brentford player right now. My stance is that I don’t want him to leave, and that hasn’t changed.
“I’ve spoken to him, he knows that I want him to stay… that has not changed.”

It is yet to be seen if Wissa will leave before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, with Newcastle still monitoring his situation as Alexander Isak could potentially leave St. James’ Park.
