Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has put Wednesday’s defeat to Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final behind, and is looking forward to Saturday’s German Cup final against Kaiserslautern.
The German Champions were beaten 3-0 by Atalanta in Dublin, courtesy a hattrick by Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman.
While reacting to the defeat on his official X handle, Boniface acknowledged that defeat is part of the game and was now shifting his attention to the Cup final.

The 23-year-old started Wednesday’s Europa League final from the bench and was introduced at the beginning of the second half.
The former Union SG striker played eight matches for Leverkusen in the Europa League and scored five goals, he also registered one assist.
He’s expected to play a part in Saturday’s German Cup final with Kaiserslautern, before making a trip down to Nigeria where the Super Eagles will host South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture.
