Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel says his team will not give up despite suffering a 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
The Bavarian giants were outclassed at the Etihad Stadium as Rodri, Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva all found the back of the net.
The result leaves Bayern in a very difficult position ahead of the return leg at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday. Tuchel nonetheless stated the defeat was not a reflection of the game which he thinks his team played well.
“I try to not allow my players to focus on the result,” Tuchel said. “I think it is not a deserved result, it does not tell the story of this match.

“We played with personality, courage and a lot of quality but we didn’t get the rewards we deserved.
“This does not feel a 3-0 but it is a 3-0. It is a huge task to turn it around but we will not give up.”
Tuchel will now turn his attention to the Bundesliga this weekend where Bayern host Hoffenheim and will look to consolidate their two-point lead at the top of the standings.
