Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane punched his teammate Leroy Sane in the face after their 3-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.
According to reports in Germany, the two-time African Footballer of the Year was involved in the altercation that led to Sane’s lip bleeding in the dressing room.
Mane came on as a 69th-minute substitute for the Bavarians at the Etihad Stadium and shortly after his introduction, he and Sane appeared to be having a conversation but it was not heated.
After the encounter, the duo headed into the dressing room with arguments, but Mane is said to be unhappy by the manner the German star addressed him, which led to a hit before they were separated by other teammates.
Neither Bayern Munich nor the players have commented on the incident but Sane is reported to have a mark on his face due to the blow.
Meanwhile, Mane has had a decent start to life in the German Bundesliga following a permanent move from Liverpool in July 2022.
He has scored 11 goals in all competitions, including six goals in the German top-flight so far.
