Spanish champions Barcelona on Wednesday announced a date for their much-anticipated return to the revamped Camp Nou, Afrosport reports.
The Catalan club will return to the stadium for a friendly on 10 August after over two years of revised work on the iconic ground.
Barcelona have been playing at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, and the club revealed that the stadium will partially reopen for their Juan Gamper Trophy, with construction work continuing in different areas of the stadium.

The 28-time Spanish champions added that reconstruction works remain on the “new third tier, the dual VIP ring, the roof installation, and the various interior spaces and the urban development of the stadium’s surrounding area”.
The club has yet to confirm the initial capacity for the match, but the full project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026, with the new capacity envisaged to be 105 000.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have another month to continue work on the stadium, following a request to play their first three La Liga games of the 2025-26 season away from home.
