Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh and three-time Serie A winner with Inter Milan, Mario Balotelli have congratulated Nigeria star Victor Osimhen for securing Napoli’s first Serie A title since 1990.
Osimhen played a crucial role with his equaliser at the Stadio Friuli to help Napoli settle for a 1-1 draw against Udinese on Thursday night and seal their league success.
The name ‘Osimhen’ has been on the lips of every Napoli faithful and immediately after the match, Osimhen took to his Instagram for celebration and he was joined by Balotelli who showered him praises for etching his name in the history books of Naples.
The 32-year-old Italy striker said: “I have been calling some friends from Napoli, it is crazy. Trust me, you did something incredible.
“You still don’t know what you did. You will realise with the years. Not tomorrow, not next year. In ten years, you will understand what you did.”

The 24-year-old is enjoying his best scoring form this season in Italy and he leads the scoring chart in the Italian top-flight with 22 goals to his name.
Oliseh, who enjoyed European success at Ajax, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, joined in the celebration by urging Osimhen to prepare for a bigger challenge with the Premier League in his sights.
The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner tweeted: “I was tense when they trailed 0-1 and leading Napoli to this title, Osimhen, in my opinion, is now in full contention for Worldwide coronation! Next step? The Premier league i feel. Congrats Bro!”

Osimhen and his Napoli teammates will be looking to continue their title party when they host Fiorentina at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for their next Serie A fixture on Sunday.
