The fourth season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) is set to kick off over the weekend, beginning with its newly-added Kalahari conference.
The games in the inaugural Kalahari Conference, which is made up of four teams: Cape Town Tigers, Petro de Luanda, FUS de Rabat, and Dynamo BBC, will all be played at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa.
The four teams in the conference will face each other twice in the round-robin phase from March 9 to March 17, with the top two sides guaranteed a place in the playoffs slated for the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, in May.

Two matches will be played on every game day, with the first contest scheduled for 4pm Nigeria Time and the second one to be played at 7pm Nigeria Time.
On Saturday, March 9, Morocco’s FUS de Rabat will take on Angolan side Petro de Luanda in the 2024 BAL opener at 4 p.m. Nigerian time. Three hours later, South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers will face Burundian side Dynamo BBC.
The sides will also be in action on Sunday, March 10, with FUS de Rabat and Dynamo BBC locking horns while the Cape Town Tigers face Petro de Luanda.
On Tuesday, March 12, Dynamo BBC will face Petro de Luanda, while Cape Town Tigers and FUS de Rabat will do battle.
Thursday, March 14, will mark the beginning of the second phase of the round robin, as each team in the group is expected to face an opponent twice. On that day, the Cape Town Tigers will rekindle their rivalry against Dynamo BBC, while FUS de Rabat will take on Petro de Luanda.
The games on Saturday, March 16, will be a rerun of the games played on Sunday, March 10, as FUS de Rabat and Dynamo BBC, as well as Cape Town Tigers and Petro de Luanda, will all face each other again.
The Kalahari Conference will come to an end on Sunday, March 17, with Dynamo BBC facing Petro de Luanda, while Cape Town Tigers and FUS de Rabat will lock horns once again.
