Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his 10th Europa League goal in his 10th appearance in this season but it was not enough as Olympique Marseille lost 2-1 to Benfica in the first leg of the quarter-finals on Thursday night.
Benfica were 2-0 up in either half thanks to Rafa Silva and Argentine veteran Angel Di Maria.
Marseille pulled one back in the 67th minute through Aubameyang after he was nicely set up by Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi.
