Serie A side Atalanta have signed Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana from championship outfit Southampton on a four-year deal worth a reported €21.5 million, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old joined Southampton in February 2023 from French Ligue 1 side Rennes for a club-record fee of around £22 million, and made a total of 74 appearances, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
The Saints however suffered the agony of relegation from the Premier League after finishing bottom of the table.
Sulemana will reunite with Atalanta boss Ivan Juric who managed Southampton between December 2024 and April 2025.
“Atalanta BC is pleased to announce that it has permanently acquired Ghanaian footballer Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton FC,” read a club statement.
“The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family and the entire Nerazzurri Club extend a warm welcome to Kamaldeen, wishing him the best of success – both personally and as a team – in the Nerazzurri shirt.”
