Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is worried about Bayo Saka after he went off injured in their 5-1 Premier League win at Crystal Palace on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old was taken off in discomfort after just 24 minutes and replaced by Leandro Trossard.
Saka’s absence did very little in affecting Arsenal’s performance however as Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice added to the brace Gabriel Jesus netted before Saka was taken off.
“He felt something in his hamstring, he couldn’t continue, and he’ll have to be assessed. So, we’re really worried about that one,” the Spaniard said per the club website.
“It’s very difficult to [say how bad it is] now – they have tested him inside but very difficult to say how bad it is.”

Arteta also revealed that Raheem Sterling got injured in training and is unsure of how long he will be out, leaving Arsenal thin with options on the right flank heading into the busy festive period.
“And Raheem as well, we lost Raheem [on Friday]. We don’t know for how long as well. So, to lose two players in 24 hours is not good,” he added.
“Unfortunately, with the amount of games that we are playing every three days with this schedule, it doesn’t surprise me but the team will react to that.”
Arsenal sit in third place on the Premier League standings, three points behind leaders Liverpool who have two games in hand.
