Arsenal held at Wolves as title race shakes up

Feyenoord move training to Belgium for Sterling integration

Arsenal missed the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table after being held to a 2-2 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.

The Gunners played out a disappointing 1-1 draw away at Brentford in their previous league match before cruising past Wigan Athletic 4-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The game against Wolves saw star player Bukayo Saka start in the number 10 role and gave his team the lead after just five minutes with a header from a Declan Rice cross.

Ecuadorian full-back Piero Hincapie doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 56th minute before Wolves found their way back with a Hugo Bueno penalty in the 61st minute and a 94th minute strike from substitute Tom Edozie.

The result means Mikel Arteta’s men are five points ahead of rivals Manchester City and will next face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

For Wolves, they remain rooted to the bottom of the table, 17 points away from safety with 11 games left to play.
