Bukayo Saka believes Arsenal are in a better place this season than the previous one after going top of the Premier League following their 3-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Anglo-Nigerian star put Mikel Arteta’s side in front from the penalty spot before Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard completed the scoring.
Saka asserted that Arsenal have learnt lessons from last year when they threw away their lead at the top and surrendered to Manchester City.
“Yeah, 100 per cent,” Saka told the club website. “I feel like we’re in a much better place physically and mentally from last season.
“We’ve learned big lessons from last year, so we know what we need to do in these games. In these type of games, we need to score early, keep a clean sheet, work hard, and not give away any cheap goals.
“I feel like recently in 2024, we’ve been so solid, and we’ve been really impressive, so we’re happy with that.”
