British duo Andy Murray and Cameron Norrie were knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters by Alex De Minaur and Francisco Cerundolo respectively on Monday.
World no. 57 Murray, was beaten in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 by the Australian ranked 19th in the world, who needed just 35 minutes to seal the first set.

Murray lost further ground on his least favourite court surface, making many unforced errors as De Minaur wrapped up the second set in 53 minutes.
World number 13 Norrie, meanwhile lost 6-3, 6-4 to Argentina’s Cerundolo. The British number one looked unsettled throughout the game, and like Murray, committed a lot of unforced errors.

It marks the second consecutive opening round exit for Norrie in an ATP 1000 Masters event after losing to Gregoire Barrere in the Miami Open last month.
