Andre Onana makes history with November’s Premier League Save of the Month award

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has made history after winning the Premier League Save of the Month award for November, Afrosport reports.

Onana won the honours for his superb save to deny Liam Delap in United’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on 24 November.

With the Red Devils in the lead at Portman Road, Delap found himself unmarked inside the box with the goal glaring at him, but the forward was denied by Onana with an otherworldly save.

This marks the second time Onana has picked up the award this season, having previously won the accolade in September.

The Cameroon international becomes the goalkeeper with the most Save of the Month awards in Premier League history, with three awards since its introduction in the 2022-23 season.

Onana, who claimed the accolade after a combination of votes from fans and a panel of football experts, surpasses the quartet of Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope, Aaron Ramsdale, and Robert Sanchez, who have two wins each.
