Amusan sets meeting record to win 100m hurdles at Rabat Diamond League

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan earned her first major victory of the 2025 Athletics season, winning the women’s 100-metre hurdles event at the Rabat Diamond League meet in Morocco on Sunday, Afrosport reports.

Amusan ran a season’s best time of 12.24 seconds, finishing ahead of Nadine Visser (12.67s) of the Netherlands and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who finished third in 12.69s.

The world record holder also set a new meeting record, shattering the former record of 12.51s set by American Brianna McNeal in 2018.

The 28-year-old slowly looks to be getting back into top gear after failing to secure a podium finish in her last two races in the Diamond League, finishing fourth in both Xiamen and Shanghai.
