Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has penned a new five-year contract extension to remain at the club until 2030, the Old Trafford outfit confirmed on Thursday.
Amad has been in impressive form for United this season, especially since the appointment of Ruben Amorim, playing in 12 games since the Portuguese joined in November 2024.
The 22-year-old Ivorian has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 28 matches across all competitions for United this season, and his extension comes after Amorim stated that he hoped to keep him at the club.
“I am really proud to have signed this new contract,” said Amad, whose previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current season.
“I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come. I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United.
“It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special. I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again,” the Ivorian told the club website.

Amad, who also stated in December 2024 that he hoped to stay at United for a ‘long time,’ scored a stoppage time winner for United in their 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium as well as the equaliser in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Jason Wilcox, United technical director said: “Everyone is delighted with Amad’s development; his quality on the ball, versatility and determination makes him a key part of the future of Manchester United.
“The best years of his career are ahead of him, and we all look forward to helping Amad to reach his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons.”
The Ivory Coast international joined United at the age of 18 in January 2021, having progressed through Atalanta’s infamous academy.
He found game time hard to come by with the Red Devils and was loaned to Scottish club Rangers for the second part of the 2021-22 season before moving to Championship club Sunderland the following season, shining while on loan with the Black Cats.
Amad enjoyed his best spell at United last season, which peaked with an extra-time winner in the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.
The United No. 16 has played six times for Ivory Coast, scoring once for the Elephants. His contract extension follows United’s decision to trigger the one-year option to extend Harry Maguire’s deal until 2026.
