Sevilla have welcomed back Nigerian internationals Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke after their participation with the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they secured a bronze medal, Afrosport reports.
The Spanish side acknowledged their return following Nigeria’s successful conclusion to the tournament, which saw them defeat Egypt 4–2 on penalties in the third-place playoff. The victory marked Nigeria’s ninth bronze medal finish in AFCON history.
Adams and Ejuke played key roles for the Super Eagles, contributing to a resilient campaign. Despite the disappointment in the semi-finals, the team ended the tournament on a strong note, reaffirming Nigeria’s position among Africa’s top football nations.
Sevilla shared the news of the duo’s return through their official channels, expressing satisfaction at having them rejoin training as focus shifts back to La Liga commitments. Their arrival comes at a crucial moment for the club as they gear up for upcoming fixtures.
Having immediately returned to Spain, the pair will miss the official AFCON medal presentation ceremony scheduled for later this week.
