Tunisia continued their perfect start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with a 2-1 Group A over The Gambia at the Ben Ahmed Al Abdi Stadium in Morocco on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
Ali Abdi scored a header in the 11th minute after a rebound from Gambia’s goalkeeper Sheikh Sibi fell to his path.
Ali Sowe equalised for The Gambia after he took advantage of a defensive error that was deflected into the net just three minutes later.
The Carthage Eagles regained their lead in the 75th minute through a Mohamed Ben Romdhane shot from the edge of the box.
The result sees Tunisia top Group A with six points after their 1-0 win over Madagascar last Thursday.
