The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Malawian official Godfrey Philip Nkhakananga as the referee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Libya’s Mediterranean Knights slated for Friday, October 11, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
To support Nkhakananga in the matchday three encounter, CAF has also appointed the Malawian’s countrymen, Clemence Kanduku and Joseph Nyauti, as assistant referees 1 and 2, respectively.
Meanwhile, the African football body selected Motswana Keabetswe Dintwa to operate as fourth official.
Other officials of the match include Ghanaian Munkaila Nassam Adam, who has been named as the commissioner, Niger’s Issaka Boubacar as referee assessor and Adetutu Akingbemisilu as CAF’s broadcast venue manager.
The Super Eagles and the Mediterranean Knights will lock horns at the Nest of Champions at 5pm Nigerian Time.
