Ethiopa remained winless in Group H of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers as they lost 2-0 to Tanzania in Kinshasa on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The Tanzanians got the lead just 15 minutes into the first half with a header following a set piece situation put into the net by Simon Msuva.
In the 31st minute, Tanzania doubled the lead with another header from close range, this time by Feisal Salum.
The match saw no other goals as the Ethiopians dominated searched for a way back but just could not find the back of the net.
Meanwhile Guinea defeated DR Congo 1-0 in the other Group H game in Abidjan.

The majority of the match saw neither side find the killers touch but Serhou Guirassy was at the receiving end of a cross in additional time of the second half that was perfectly slotted in to hand Guinea the three points and put them two points ahead of Tanzania going into the final round of AFCON 2025 qualifying matches.
