First-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and Ethiopia-based shot-stopper Amas Obasogie are the earliest arrivals in the Super Eagles Camp in Uyo on Monday, Afrosport reports.
The camp opened on Monday, October 7, ahead of Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against Libya’s Mediterranean Knights.
However, only Nwabali, who plays in South Africa with Chippa United, and Fasil Kenema’s Obasogie are in camp.
Meanwhile, according to reports, England-based Wilfred Ndidi and Benjamin Tanimu are already in Nigeria but they were unable to make their way to Uyo as their intended flight was cancelled.
The two players along with assistant coach Daniel Ogunmodede suffered this fate on Monday, but the trio are expected to arrive in Uyo on Tuesday morning.
The Super Eagles will battle Libya twice in four days, with the first leg slated for Friday, October 11 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, before they face each other at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium on Tuesday, October 15.
