The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea to take charge of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final clash between Nigeria and hosts Morocco, Afrosport reports.
CAF confirmed the appointment on Tuesday via its official social media platforms, ahead of the highly anticipated encounter scheduled to be played in Rabat on Wednesday.
Laryea will be assisted by South Africa’s Zakhele Thusi Granville Siwela and Lesotho’s Souru Phatsoane, who will serve as the first and second assistant referees respectively.
Video Assistant Referee (VAR) duties will be handled by Abongile Tom of South Africa, with Haythem Guirat (Tunisia) and Stephen Onyango Yiembe (Kenya) acting as assistant VAR officials.

The Super Eagles and Morocco will go head-to-head at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with a place in the AFCON final at stake.
The clash will be Laryea’s second game at the tournament after the Ghanaian oversaw Burkina Faso’s 1-0 defeat to Algeria in Group E on 28 December 2025.
