The Super Eagles will conclude their qualification campaign for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday with a game against Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The encounter will be the second meeting between both countries after Nigeria secured a commanding 10-0 win against the landlocked country in June 2022.
The three-time African champions are returning to Akwa Ibom State as their home ground since they qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Group A’s top spot is at stake in Sunday’s match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
The Super Eagles currently lead the standings with 12 points from five games, two points above second-placed Guinea-Bissau.
Both teams have already qualified for next year’s tournament in the Ivory Coast but Nigeria need at least a point against bottom-placed Sao Tome and Principe to win the group.

Nigeria will play Sao Tome and Principe by 5pm (West African Time) but live studio session on Afrosport TV starts by 4.30pm (West African Time) on Sunday, September 10.
