Nigeria will battle Guinea-Bissau in their final Group A fixture at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles grabbed their first win in Ivory Coast on Thursday after defeating the host country 1-0 while Guinea-Bissau are winless having lost their first two matches in the competition.

Nigeria sit second in the group with four points and they need either a win or draw to guarantee their place in the knock-out stage while the Djurtus are bottom of the log with no point.

When and where is the Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria match?

The match between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau will take place on Monday, January 22 by 6PM (Nigerian time) at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

What is at stake for Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau?

Guinea-Bissau need to win at all costs in Abidjan on Monday to keep alive their chances of progressing to the knock-out round of the competition as one of the four best losers in the group stage.

Baciro Cande’s men are at the bottom of Group A with no point and -4 goal difference.

Nigeria, on their part, need either a win or a draw to confirm their qualification for the second round. They are levelled on four points with leaders Equatorial Guinea while Ivory Coast trail by a point in third place.

Royal Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf is expected to be back in Jose Peseiro’s team after missing Thursday’s 1-0 win against Ivory Coast due to injury.

Jose Peseiro has a clean slate of players for the crucial game as the Super Eagles look to build on their win.
