The highly anticipated official draw for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is set to take place on Thursday, October 12, in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
The ceremony, which is slated for the iconic Parc des Exposition building in Abidjan and will be aired live in over 50 countries across the continent, will be broadcast live on CAF’s official YouTube channel and CAF’s global TV partners.
The official draw earmarks the buildup to the 34th edition of the biggest football competition on African soil, and it will see delegations from all 24 participating countries, along with CAF legends and African leaders.

The AFCON 2023, which will run from January 13 to February 11, 2024, will see all participating nations discover their respective groups and opponents ahead of next year’s tournament.
CAF also announced that key individuals who will be involved during the final draw, like draw hosts and assistants, will be revealed on Tuesday.
