AC Milan on Friday announced the reappointment of Massimiliano Allegri as head coach, Afrosport reports.
Allegri’s arrival comes a day after Milan announced the sacking of Portuguese manager Sergio Conceicao, who was in charge of the team for just six months.
The 57-year-old Italian returns to Milan, having managed the Rossoneri from June 2010 to January 2014.
Let’s give a warm welcome to our new Head Coach, Massimiliano Allegri!

Allegri won the Serie A title in his first season in Milan, the club’s 18th Scudetto and their first since 2004. He followed the league success with the Italian Super Cup in 2011.
Following his sacking at Milan, the Italian moved to rivals Juventus from 2014 to 2019, winning five consecutive Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia trophies and two Italian Super Cups. He returned to Juventus for another spell between 2021 and 2024 but was less successful.
Allegri will take over a Milan team that finished eighth in the Serie A in the 2024-25 season and fell to Bologna in the Coppa Italia final.
The Rossoneri missed out on a place in Europe this season and have not won the Scudetto since the 2021-22 season under Stefano Pioli.
