Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Orlando Pirates centre-back Olisa Ndah have withdrawn from Super Eagles’ international friendly against Portugal.
Nigeria are scheduled to face World Cup-bound Portugal at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Thursday.
Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers has been called up as a replacement for Osimhen while Chidozie Awaziem takes the place of injured Ndah at the back.
On Saturday, Osimhen scored the opening goal in Napoli’s 3-2 win over Udinese and he played the entire duration of the Serie A match at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Ndah, on his part, was missing in Orlando Pirates’ 4-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday due to injury which rules him out of the trip to Lisbon.
Jose Peseiro’s side are seeking their win since their 10-0 drubbing of Sao Tome & Principe in June, and their last friendly game ended in a 2-0 defeat to Costa Rica in November.
