Salim Fago and Umar Sadiq opened their goal accounts for new clubs Viktoria Plzen and Valencia at the weekend, Afrosport reports.
Fago, who was part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, joined Plzen from Croatian side Hajduk Split during the winter transfer window.
After starting for the second consecutive Czech First League game in a row, the 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Plzen defeated Sigma Olomouc 2-1.

Meanwhile, Sadiq scored his first La Liga on his permanent return to Valencia in a 2-0 win away at 10-man Levante.
The 29-year-old joined Los Che permanently from Real Sociedad during the winter transfer window following a successful loan spell last season.
He scored the second goal against Levante to add to the two goals he had netted earlier in the Copa del Rey against Burgos and Athletic Bilbao.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Victor Osimhen provided two assists for Yunus Akgun and Mauro Icardi in Galatasaray’s 5-1 win at home to 10-man Eyupspor while Paul Onuachu moved back to the top of scorers chart with his 16th goal of the season in Trabzonspor’s 3-2 home defeat to Fenerbahce.
