Victor Osimhen set a new goal scoring streak as Galatasaray defeated Rizespor 3-0 away from home in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
The Nigerian superstar was on target in the previous league game against Kayserispor, coupled with an assist.
He scored the final goal against Rizespor in the 73rd minute after Baris Yilmaz and Yunus Akgun put Galatasaray in front in the 19th and 62nd minute.
It was the 2023 African Player of the Year’s ninth league goal of the season coupled with six goals in as many games in the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen has also scored six league goals in his last five matches, making it the longest scoring streak of his Galatasaray career.

Earlier on Saturday, Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu scored a brace in Trabzonspor’s 3-0 away win at Samsunspor. It took him to 15 goals in the Super Lig this season, tied with Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov as top scorer.

Onuachu holds the highest shot conversation of any player with five or more goals in the Turkish top flight this season (28.3%) while he is the first foreign player in the history of Trabzonspor to score home and away against Samsunspor in the league.
