Jack Doohan has joined the Haas Formula 1 team as a reserve driver for the 2026 season following his departure from Alpine, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old, the son of Australian motorcycle legend Mick Doohan, started six races for Alpine last season but was dropped after a poor run of results and was replaced by Argentine Franco Colapinto.
Doohan joins Japan’s Ryo Hirakawa as part of Haas’s roster of reserve drivers ahead of next week’s pre-season test in Bahrain.
“I’m thrilled to be joining TGR Haas F1 Team,” he said. “It’s the ideal place to continue my Formula 1 career.
“I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to grow and take on the great challenge of 2026 together. I’m eager to begin working with the team and collaborating on a successful season.”
