Hugo Ekitike reached 10 Premier League goals for the season after netting a brace in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old Frenchman of Cameroonian heritage scored a goal and provided an assist in Wednesday’s 6-0 bashing of Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League.
He was at it again against the Magpies, netting in the 41st and 43rd minute after Anthony Gordon put Newcastle ahead in the 36th minute.
It took Ekitike to 10 goals in 21 league appearances. He also has a total of 15 goals in all competitions since his move from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.

Florian Wirtz and Ibrahima Konate scored the remaining two goals to move Liverpool above Manchester United into fifth place.
In other results, Joao Pedro came off the bench to score and assist as Chelsea came from two goals down to beat London rivals West Ham United 3-2 at Stamford Bridge and move up to fourth spot.
Meanwhile, leaders Arsenal went seven points clear at the top after a commanding 4-0 win at Leeds United, Martin Zubimendi, Karl Darlow (own goal), Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus with the goals.

Bournemouth defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at the Molineux while Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton played out a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.
