Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has called up Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo for the upcoming friendlies against Asian giants South Korea and Japan, Afrosport reports.
Vinicius did not play in the Selecao’s last two matches of South American World Cup qualifiers last month but has been given the nod after a good run of recent form with three assists in as many La Liga games and a goal.
Rodrygo meanwhile has not has played so many minutes this season for Madrid, with only one assist to his name in Tuesday’s 5-0 win at Kairat Almaty in the UEFA Champions League.
Star forward Neymar has been excluded from the squad as he currently nurses a thigh injury while Barcelona’s Raphinha, Paris Saint-Germain’s Marquinhos, and Liverpool’s Alisson are also missing due to injury.
