The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially announced a change of date for its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), Afrosport reports.
The AGM earlier scheduled for 10 September, will now take place on Saturday, 13 September in Kaduna. The meeting is slated to commence at 10 a.m., with all attendees expected to arrive on Friday, 12 September.
In a formal notice sent to clubs and State Football Associations, the league’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Danlami Alanana, explained that the adjustment was necessary due to logistical considerations.
“We convey to you a warm sporting compliment from the Chairman, Board Members, Management, and Staff of the Nigeria National League,” the communique read. “Our earlier letter dated August 14, 2025, refers. Due to some logistical considerations, a slight adjustment for the 16th edition of the Nigeria National League Annual General Meeting has been made.”
The NNL also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the date change and appreciated the understanding of all stakeholders involved.
Meanwhile, there are strong indications that the league might unveil a significant sponsorship deal during the AGM, a development that could mark a major boost for Nigeria’s second-tier football division.
