The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) on Wednesday announced the preliminary roster for the senior women’s national team, D’Tigress, ahead of the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket tournament in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, Afrosport reports.
Four-time defending champions D’Tigress will begin preparation for the tournament, with the team set to play in the much-anticipated Homecoming Games as part of their training camp.
Head coach Rena Wakama has stuck with the majority of the players that starred at the Paris 2024 Olympics last August, with the likes of guards Precious Amukamara and Ezinne Kalu, forwards Amy Okonkwo and Murjanatu Musa, and center Lauren Ebo making the preliminary list.

The D’Tigress, who defeated Senegal in the final to win the last edition in 2023, are drawn in Group D along with Mozambique and Rwanda.
