The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take part in a four-nation invitational tournament in England in June, Afrosport reports.
The three-time African champions will square up against West African rivals Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in the tournament tagged Unity Cup.
The Unity Cup will take place a few days after Nigeria’s international friendly game with the Russian national team.
The friendly engagements will afford coach Eric Chelle the opportunity of bonding well with the players, and perfecting his strategies ahead of forthcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
In September, the Super Eagles will take on the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, before traveling to South Africa in matchday 7 and 8 clashes in the series.
After failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Super Eagles have an uphill task of winning all their remaining games in the qualifiers to stand a chance of featiring in the mundial in 2026.
With seven points, they are fourth in Group C of the qualifiers, headed by South Africa on 13 points, while Rwanda and Benin Republic are second and third, respectively on eight points.
