‘Crazy things happen’ – PSV boss Bosz hoping for UCL miracle against Arsenal

PSV Eindhoven manager Peter Bosz will be hoping for a big miracle as his team tries to overturn a six-goal deficit against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg on Wednesday night, Afrosport reports.

The Dutch giants lost the first leg at Philips Stadion 7-1 and will need to win by more than seven goals to turn the tie around.

While it will be an extremely difficult task to do, Bosz is not giving up easily.

“You know it’s very annoying because you don’t want to have too much ambition and look like an idiot [given the 7-1 score] so it would be a miracle if we get to the next round. But sometimes crazy things happen,” he said.

Meanwhile, defender Armando Obispo, echoed a similar sentiment, stating: “I think if you lose 7-1 [in the first leg] and you don’t have feelings of revenge (for the second leg) then something is not quite right.”

PSV have failed to go beyond the Champions League round of 16 since the 2006-07 season when they reached the quarter-finals while they reached the semi-finals the season prior.
